Only in a High School Musical is it a bad thing that a boy can sing and play basketball. Ten years have passed since the first High School Musical movie came. At the age of 8, I thought this was exactly what high school was gonna be like.
I was wrong.
I spent a lot of P.E. time trying to do the basketball-dancing scene from “Getcha head in the game.” I could get the dribble part down but all the shuffling and tossing was just too difficult.
But, it was so good to see the original cast (minus Zac Efron) They laughed at their old auditions and rehearsals. I noticed minor details that I never noticed before. Like how the chemistry teacher was pregnant. (They should have brought the 10 year old kid to the reunion.)All the cringe worthy early 2000 clothes. Nothing matched and there were so any colors. No, but seriously, for some reason I still don't understand why people aren't allowed to be multi-talented. It's like being divergent (from the book Divergent). Honestly, just let the pretty basketball boy sing in the musical.
But, the songs from this movie are what make it so memorable. They’re so catchy and the bring an entire generation together. I know for a fact the senior class spends a lot of time in English singing the songs from all three movies. It's altogether just a fun movie. It's the kind of movie that makes you get up and dance and quote it with your friends for days. ( I apologize to everyone who has to deal with me tomorrow)
