HCA Varsity Basketball Watch

Hampton Christian Academy's basketball program has taken off these last couple of years. With the talent that was already here, and the new talent coming in, each year the basketball program is looking very promising. The basketball team this year is comprised of many young guys looking to take the reins of the team in the future. As for last season, most of the guys who transferred in were seniors and their stint at HCA ended after a short, but rejuvenating season. Although the Warriors fell short last year, they look to chase after the gold once again. Yes, they have had a regular 500 start to the season, but they show promise that other teams in the past haven't. Their goal: to win a championship. The youthfulness of the team is a bit reassuring after having lost five seniors, four of whom which were starters, and the other played big minutes. To say this is a rebuilding year for HCA would be very misleading and deceptive to the fact the team has the talent to pull off a state championship. They have all the necessary tools: a smart young coaching staff, great support, and a good team. I am looking forward to seeing what they will make of it the rest of the year. Stay tuned for more updates.
