Eight Year Old Boy Gives Up His Birthday For Other People

A soon to be 8 year old boy named Dryver Cowart, selflessly gave up his birthday presents and money so that he could help other people. Instead of asking for something for himself, he asked to make duffle bags for foster kids. The bags are twenty-five dollars and are made through a company called "Together We Rise." He invited some friends to come to his church and decorate the bags with permanent chalk.

His parents just recently became foster parents so Dryver has a true heart for kids in the system. He previously had made a bag for a friend of his as well. Many foster kids have next to nothing, and if they even have belongings, they're often carried in a garbage bag. He plans to decorate around 50 of them at his church. His goal was to raise $500, but people went above and beyond. He has raised over $2,000 up to this point, and people are still donating.
