Undefeated Wrestler Gives Opponent the Match

It is great to see that sportsmanship and compassion is still being shown in sports. Deven Schuko, an undefeated wrestler, let his opponent, Andy Howard win and break his undefeated streak of 27-0. Now you may be thinking, why would an undefeated wrestler let some old kid come in and let him pin him for a victory? This wasn't just any old kid. This was Andy Howard, a kid suffering from Down Syndrome.

This was a great act of sportsmanship in my eyes. Devin humbled himself enough to realize that winning isn't as important as sportsmanship. There is a big takeaway from this. Here's a couple of scenarios about how God can work in Devin's life. First, he is undefeated and college coaches all over the world are going to want to know about the kid who was undefeated his senior year. Second, it shows college coaches he puts sportsmanship higher than winning, and many college coaches will probably like him for it. This just goes to show that even when you lose you can still win. In this case Devin won the hearts of sports fans everywhere.
