January 7th, a large truck bomb exploded near a police base in the western Libyan town of Zliten. This bomb killed at least forty seven and wounded over two hundred others. Rescue crews arrived at the scene and were only able to get the forty seven bodies out of the wreckage. Some officials of Libya said there might be more dead bodies.
No group has taken responsibility for the attack yet. However, there is a local Islamic State that has been trying to take control of Zliten that has been implicated in the attacks. There is still no hard evidence saying that they were the ones at the bottom of this bombing. Also, keep those families in prayer for the people they lost or that got wounded.
