You Can (and probably should) Eat Banana Peels

A lot of people today think banana peels are only good for two things: protecting bananas and serving as comedic props; however, researchers have found that you can use that yellow trash for more than beating your friends at Mario Kart. It’s not only safe to eat banana peels; it’s actually advisable.
In addition to potassium, which helps balance electrolytes and grow cells, banana peels are a great source of Magnesium. It also depends on how ripe the banana is, unripe banana peels are thick, fibrous and bitter. Turns out a lot of the world has been eating banana peels for years. Regardless of the apparent health benefits, I won’t be changing my habit of not eating the peel. What do you think? Gonna make the switch? Comment below!
