The HCA Varsity Volleyball team beat the Alliance Falcons in the qualifying round of the Metro Conference Tournament. The first set proved a nail biter. Within 15 minutes the Warriors had a lead of 20-9 but started to lose some momentum. After a fierce battle, our team was able to win the first match with a score of 25-20.
Spurred on by their victory, the Warriors easily secured the second match with a score of 25 - 13. Alliance tried to come back in the third match but were finally defeated in the fourth match with a score of 25 -12. The Warriors advanced to the next stage of the Metro Tournament. Some of the highlights were the nineteen serves by Ashley Burnette, six aces by Alexis Goode, eight digs by Zoe Jones, and one amazing block by Emma Keller. The Lady Warriors did an amazing job!
