Run by a division of Amazon, Twitch.tv is a popular live streaming platform. While not used much for mainstream items, the site is extremely popular in the world of gaming. It hosts a variety of gaming accoutrements including “playthroughs of video games and broadcasts of esports competitions. There are some musicians who use twitch as a way to livestream to their audience. While most of these streams are very popular, twitch is still primarily seen as a way to game. In order to expand their platform and reach diverse audiences even further, Twitch.tv is starting a new category of live streams known as Creative. 
The Creative category will host live streams displaying different kinds of art. To promote the the launch, Twitch is hosting a stream of every episode of The Joy of Painting, the most memorable painting show starring late artist Bob Ross. Famous for his soothing voice and breathtaking artwork, Bob Ross remains one of our generations earliest and biggest artistic influences. The Creative category is clearly doing well with a consistent stream of at least fifty five thousand people. Even harcore gamers seem to love Bob Ross.
