Two L.A police officers have been charged with several repeated sexual assault charges on four women while they were on duty. A count of 18 criminal complaints were filed on Tuesday charging both of the officers with numerous instances of forcible rape, by threat to arrest or deportation along with sexual battery and oral copulation among other offenses.
The complaint said two men were armed during majority of the alleged assaults and most occurred while they were on the clock. If they are to be convicted the two men will each face a maximum sentence of life in prison. The Times cited a search warrant affidavit as alleging that after forcing the women to get into their squad car with threats of jail, the officers drove victims to secluded areas where one would demand sex while the other kept watch. In other cases, the men acted alone.
