The Breakfast Club is one of the most popular 80s movies that 90s kids know about. For its popularity, it has a pretty simple premise. The story is about five teenagers who have detention and learn they aren't so different from each other despite their cliques.Bender is considered by everyone to be a thug and a criminal. Allison is known as “the basket case” because she’s quiet and does strange things. Andrew is an athlete and feels he has to live up to his father’s expectations. Claire is called a princess because of her rich parents and slightly stuck up attitude. Finally, there’s Brian who’s a brainiac with poor social skills. While their mismatched personalities cause hilarity to ensue in the beginning, at the end they accept that regardless of how people label them, they can be themselves around each other. The movie ends there, but it fails to answer the gut -wrenching question that has plagued everyone who’s seen the movie. What happened at school on Monday morning?
It's a little mature but anyone over 13 can watch it. It has comedy as well as drama and is simply a really good classic film everyone should see. You will be quoting it the rest of your life.
