Rand Paul Suspends Presidential Campaign

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul has decided once and for all to drop out of the 2016 presidential race. Paul’s numbers have stayed consistently low throughout his campaign, even losing him his place in the Republican Debates. However, his low showing in the Iowa caucus has motivated him to suspend his bid. Paul only got 4%, which technically was still good since he beat other candidates Kasich, Bush and Fiorina, but was still nowhere near enough to be  able to compete with Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.

“It's been an incredible honor to run a principled campaign for the White House," Paul said in the statement. "Today, I will end where I began, ready and willing to fight for the cause of Liberty." While Paul’s short journey towards the White House has ended, he has already turned his attention towards other matters.  He is currently running for another senate period for his home state, Kentucky, where he is expected to win against the Democrat representative.
