10. When we played our last volleyball game.
We had our final volleyball game this year. We had lost every game and we really didn't want to play another. Since we were really bad, we ended up playing the top team and got absolutely crushed. that wasn't great but we never had to play volleyball with that coach again so I was ecstatic.
9. The Epic Nerf War of 2016
During the staycation, there was a boy vs girl nerf war. The boys tried to ambush us and we fought back valiantly. However, it was 11 o'clock at night and we were so loud that security actually got called.
8. Free pancakes on international pancake day.
IHOP had a free pancake day and the plan was for Renee and I to go alone. But, we told people where we were going and by the end of the day three other people went with us. The free pancakes were the best and we ate in under 15 minutes.
7. Senior trip catfish marathon.
During staycation, we spent a lot of time on the couch watching tv. The only appropriate and interesting show that we could all watch was Catfish. We must have seen 20 episodes by the end of the week.
6. Senior pics at the beach in 30 degree weather
I decided to get Jasmine to take my senior pictures at the last minute. We needed a good background, so we ended up taking pictures at Huntington. It was freezing, and the wind blown sand actually really hurt, but it was super funny cause we knew we looked absolutely ridiculous.
5. Keira's birthday party
For Keira's birthday party, we went to her house to hang out. We got progressively tired and by the end of the night, we had convinced the boys to try and fit through the doggie door.
4. Valentine's Day
I got to spend Valentine's Day with Jasmine, and ate the best Indian food ever.
3. Staying up all night on staycation
For our senior challenge, we were required to stay up all night with some seniors. It took everything in us to not go to sleep and by the morning time we were completely exhausted.
2. Leaving NYSUM
We went on a missions trip before Christmas and it was horrible. Keira got sick and the rooms were so tiny and it was generally just bad. However, there wasn't anything like taking a shower in my own home when we got back.
- Becoming Co-Valedictorian
For most of our school careers, my friend Renee and I have had the same G.P.A’ s. We took the same classes and got the same grades. When we started our senior year, our G.P.A’s were different by a hundredth of a point. Instead of fighting, we finally convinced our guidance counselor to let us be Co- Valedictorians.
