I wonder what the future holds for HCA basketball. After a disappointing season there is some good news. They have a very young team and are only losing two players, Joshua Lewis, and Brandon Blair. They have some promising young talent returning. Chase Mann is a returning senior and Jalen Norton is a returning junior. Those were the two main leading scorers of this season. We all know Chase Mann can fill it up quick and in a hurry, but on a not surprising note, the ball movement was way more fluent. When watching the team play the offense stagnated around Mann and the team just all watched him put on a show. Although he was putting up numbers the team was still losing. Hopefully next year the team will be more of a collective unit and not depend on one person but on the whole team as a collective.
There is some other great news, HCA has a great coaching staff that is looking for a tournament run, and I honestly think they can do it. With Hampton Christian looking like a more desirable place to play, I have no doubt they will have an abundance of talent coming in for years to come.
