College Hoops Stud

College basketball is filled with hundreds of amazingly talented basketball players. Every year the NCAA never ceases to disappoint with the amount of talent on the court. So who is the best player? Everyone certainly has their own opinion. Many would say Kris Dunn, an amazing guard for Providence. Or maybe it’s one of the best scorers in the nation in Buddy Hield who averages 26 points per game for the Oklahoma Sooners. Maybe Bryce Johnson, the leader of the UNC Tarheels. No, I say Ben Simmons, the center for the LSU Tigers. Simmons has a handicap in that he plays for LSU who hasn’t given him a legitimate team to play with and have a shot to win. Regardless, Ben Simmons is a freshman who has the most double-double games in the nation, scores 19 points per game, averages 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. LSU has not seen a player of this caliber since Shaquille O’ Neal played for them back in the 90’s. Simmons is only 19, but he has already declared for the NBA draft and honestly I think he can make a huge impact on the league. Let me throw around some names of guys who were under 20 in the NBA: Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant. Now will Simmons be that good? No one knows, but he certainly possesses that “it” factor that makes him a player who can help out any team. Let’s just say, whoever drafts this kid needs to lock him up for a long time because they are getting a prize.
