For those who weren't aware, Pope Francis has been visiting the continent of Africa. As you can imagine, the media loves the Pope. Picture upon picture of the Pope and his loyal subjects have been flooding through the internet, documenting the Pope's extensive travels. But with pictures, the Internet gives and takes. This week's trend is based on this simple picture of the Pope speaking to the crowd. Looks innocent and perfectly normal right? Wrong. Within hours, people on the internet were declaring the Pope’s pose rapper worthy. And thus the hashtag #PopeBars was started. Soon thousands of tweets were flooding in, each with another person’s thoughts about what the Pope’s rhymes would sound like. Within another hour, #PopeBars was a worldwide trend on twitter, the meme even earning a slide on the front moments section of Twitter. Here are some of the best tweets.
