Neutral Start For The HCA Warriors Varsity Basketball Team
Friday was the first game of the season for the HCA Warriors Varsity Basketball Team. Our team played in the Walsingham Tournament against Peninsula Catholic. The Warriors started off strong and maintained the lead throughout the entire game. After easily winning against P.C, they advanced to the championship. Saturday afternoon saw the HCA Warriors go up against on the stronghouse Walsingham Academy. The game started with a bang and Hampton Christian feverishly kept up with Walsingham. At the end of the half, it looked like the Warriors were going to be able to keep up. Unfortunately, the Warriors fell far behind so after and Walsingham scooped the championship win. Students, Chase Mann, and Tyler Buckner, received awards for standout players of that game. While the Warriors lost this particular game, their dedicated performance shows just how great their season will be. The next game is Tuesday, December the 1st at 7:30 against Broadwater. It’s going to be great game!
