Our Hampton Christian boys basketball team is having a pretty good start to the season. The new additions of Chase Mann, Carlos Marrow, Tyler Buckner, and a couple of other transfers have come in handy in some pretty tough games. They are also showing that Hampton Christian is upholding its history of a strong recruiting class. This class in particular is much younger and even more promising than the previous years recruiting class and is definitely playing more as a cohesive unit.
I honestly can't wait to see what the future holds for this young team. Will they win a championship, and get farther than the previous class? Or not uphold expectations and fail to get to the state championship? I am very excited at seeing a pretty good start for the Warriors in their 2-1 win-loss column. The Warriors haven't faced anyone of note except Walsingham Academy, in which they had an excellent and promising first half then were totally exposed in the second. You could see the youth and lack of leadership during the second half for them. However, I’m sure that they will bounce back and win the conference. I have much faith in our Warriors.
